What is the best thing about your job?
The best thing about my job is the impact it has on the clients, the candidates, and the business process in general. It makes every working day meaningful.
What is the best advice you could give someone starting their career?
I have a few advice to share with starters — quit whining take criticisms like a piece of cake and reflect on your mistakes. They need to absorb all knowledge they can take notes during training and coaching ask questions. The most important would be to not strive for perfection rather aim for daily improvement.
What are your favorite TV shows, bands and books?
Without a doubt, my favorite TV shows are Friends, Modern Family, How to Get Away With Murder, and Grey’s Anatomy. I’m a bookworm and I’m a huge fan of The Percy Jackson series, Harry Potter, and the works of John Grisham, Nicholas Sparks, and Mitch Albom.
Tell us a little bit about you, your hobbies and interests…
I’m an INFJ, a huge introvert, so I stay at home most of the time. On days I feel like going out, you can find me in coffee shops reading my favorite books. I’m also physically active and outdoorsy. So whenever I have enough time, I do trekking, camping, and mountain climbing. I’m also a blue belter in Taekwondo and boxing is a good way to release anger and frustration. I live in an island so lately, I’m into scuba diving.
What are your long term goals… Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?
My long-term goal professionally is to manage a huge team. I want to still be able to support the team and help them be better at their jobs while maintaining a good working relationship with them. I’ve had good and not-so-good managers in the past and I’ve learned a lot from them. But I’m striving to be the leader that I wanted to have when I was just starting. Creating a huge impact on someone is always something that keeps my fire burning.
