Company Introduction:

As a Backend Web Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the server-side logic and database architecture of web applications. You will collaborate with the front-end development team, UX/UI designers, and other stakeholders to deliver robust and scalable web solutions. Your expertise in server-side programming, database management, and web technologies will be vital for creating efficient and secure web applications.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop server-side logic to support the functionality of web applications, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs and integrate them with front-end systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Develop and maintain databases, including schema design, data modeling, and optimization.
  • Write efficient and secure code, following best practices and industry standards.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues with existing applications, identifying and implementing appropriate solutions.
  • Conduct thorough testing of applications to ensure functionality, performance, and security.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and apply them to enhance the development process.
  • Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and provide constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with DevOps engineers to deploy applications and ensure proper infrastructure setup.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven work experience as a Backend Web Developer or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in server-side programming languages such as Python, Java, Ruby, or Node.js.
  • Experience with web frameworks and technologies like Django, Flask, Express.js, or Ruby on Rails.
  • Solid understanding of database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and proficiency in writing efficient queries.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
  • Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and their integration with backend systems.
  • Understanding of API design principles and experience with RESTful API development.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and deployment practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders.
