MUMBAI, INDIA – Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has entered a three-year contract with Follett Higher Education, a leading college store operator in North America.
This partnership aims to enhance Follett’s information technology (IT) infrastructure and cybersecurity services, improving academic and retail experiences for colleges and universities in the US and Canada.
Enhancing IT infrastructure and cybersecurity
TCS plans to deploy its trademark platforms and solutions, using its Machine First delivery approach. This includes proprietary accelerators like TCS Cognix, an AI-driven human-machine collaboration suite offering prebuilt, cloud-based modules.
These innovations will automate manual processes, manage enterprise infrastructure, and ensure built-in security and regulatory compliance. Additionally, TCS’ Cloud Exponence platform will support Follett’s operations across hybrid cloud environments.
Prasad Keshava, vice president of Enterprise Infrastructure for Follett, emphasized the importance of this partnership: “At Follett, we believe every interaction a student has with us contributes to their potential for success. That’s why our partnership with TCS is crucial, along with a well-structured governance and accountability matrix.”
Strengthening security and operations
The partnership will enhance Follett’s cybersecurity by embedding security by design into its operations. TCS will manage Follett’s Security Operations Center, providing services for email, network, identity, and access management security.
Additionally, TCS will offer tools to improve governance, risk, and compliance processes.
Follett, operating over 1,000 college stores across North America, is dedicated to supporting students’ academic journeys by providing essential course materials, technology, supplies, and school-branded merchandise.
This collaboration with TCS will ensure a robust, secure, and efficient IT infrastructure to better serve students and academic institutions.
