
MUMBAI, INDIA – Tata Communications has named Bhaskar Gorti as the new executive vice president for its cloud and cybersecurity services, effective July 2024. This move aims to bolster the firm’s digitalization and automation efforts.
Gorti will join Tata Communications’ Global Management Committee, bringing nearly three decades of experience in technology and industry leadership to the role. He holds a master of science in electrical engineering from Virginia Tech and has previously held senior positions at Oracle, Nokia, Sandvine, and most recently, as CEO and board member at Platform9.
Strategic leadership for digital transformation
AS Lakshminarayanan, MD and CEO of Tata Communications, expressed enthusiasm about Gorti’s appointment, highlighting his strategic acumen and proven track record in scaling technology businesses.
“His deep understanding of Cloud and Security services will make him a strong asset to our Global Management Committee,” Lakshminarayanan said.
Gorti is expected to play a key role in realizing the company’s vision for a next-generation digital ecosystem. He will oversee the expansion of the company’s cloud and cybersecurity portfolio, aligning with the goal to deliver innovative and secure solutions.
