MANILA, PHILIPPINES – The Information Technology and Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP) is proud to say that the IT-BPM industry “closed with growth, investor confidence, global capability centers (GCCs) expansion, and focus toward higher-value capability-driven work amid technological developments and global headwinds.”
Here are the key industry highlights mentioned in IBPAP’s press release:
- 4% employment growth, with the creation of ~80,000 new jobs in 2025 – this brings the total jobs created by the industry to 1.9 million
- 5% revenue growth, with the generation of US$ 2 billion in revenue in 2025 – this now makes the IT-BPM a US$ 40 billion industry
- 8%+ contribution to the country’s GDP – this cements the industry’s significance to the country’s economy
According to IBPAP President and CEO Jack Madrid, this positive performance is driven by a “strong ecosystem, resilient IT-BPM member companies, and the digital Filipino workers delivering high-value work with global clients.”
IBPAP’s Priorities for 2026
In 2026, IBPAP will prioritize three areas to ensure the industry sustains and exceeds its current status.
- Scale AI responsibly
- Expand GCCs
- Enrich and protect current and future talent
It will double down on its collaboration with government offices such as the Department of Education (DepEd) and the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) to expand AI-focused talent development programs.
It will also regularly review, improve, and clarify policies, including CREATE MORE, the Cybersecurity Act, and PEZA guidelines, to increase investor confidence in the country’s IT-BPM industry.
