QUEZON CITY, PHILIPPINES – Mike Larcher, founder and CEO of Outsourced, announced that the company has expanded its operations into Malaysia.
Malaysia sits in a competitive middle ground for cost, with higher value coming from language coverage and quality. The net saving for clients is still substantial versus onshore hiring, with added reach into new markets.
The exec also said in his LinkedIn post that they chose the country because it’s a strategic hub for:
- Finance and accounting
- Customer service and CX
- IT and software roles
- Digital, marketing, and e-commerce support
- Procurement and vendor management
Targeting Top 1% Multilingual Malaysian Talent
Larcher said in an interview with Outsource Accelerator that Outsourced’s Malaysian hub will recruit talents with these characteristics:
- Can communicate well in English (oral and written)
- Shows empathy with customers
- Trusts the company and can be trusted
These talents will help the company in providing comprehensive multilingual services, which “directly address one of the main gaps in the global outsourcing market.” The service is designed “for regional work, China-facing business channels, and Malay or Tamil-based brand support.”
To ensure they’ll recruit the top 1% into their Malaysian team, Outsourced uses an AI-enhanced recruiting tool to help the recruitment team assess skills and backgrounds, as well as performance during client interviews.
