
NOIDA, INDIA — HCL Technologies (HCLTech), a leading IT service provider, has inaugurated its first global delivery center in Patna, marking a significant expansion into the Indian state of Bihar.
This state-of-the-art facility, located in the Udyog Bhawan Complex, is designed to deliver advanced IT and engineering services for high-tech and semiconductor companies.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by prominent figures, including Shri Nitish Mishra, Hon’ble Minister of Industries, and Shri Santosh Kumar Suman, Hon’ble Minister of Information Technology, along with senior HCLTech executives such as Prateek Aggarwal, Chief Financial Officer, and Rahul Singh, COO-Corporate Functions.
“I am happy that HCL Tech is launching a new office in Patna. This will bring positive changes in the Information Technology (IT) sector of Bihar, increase employment opportunities and other IT companies will also be inspired to invest in Bihar,” remarked Minister Mishra.
Strategic expansion and talent acquisition
The launch of this center is part of HCLTech’s New Vistas program, aimed at accessing quality talent in new locations across India.
HCLTech’s Patna facility will incorporate specialized labs and centers of excellence. This strategic investment will significantly bolster the company’s technological innovation capabilities, allowing them to deliver a wider range of advanced services to their global clientele.
This move is set to contribute notably to Bihar’s local technology ecosystem and talent pool.
Prateek Aggarwal emphasized the strategic importance of the new center, stating, “Bihar has immense potential in terms of availability of quality talent, and the center will contribute to HCLTech’s objective of being the preferred digital transformation partner to global enterprises.”
