Expansion of outsourcing services
A collaboration between the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) and the German Outsourcing Association has led to the launch of the “Egypt Guide to Outsourcing Services,” which aims to solidify Egypt’s position as a leading business destination and global hub for outsourcing services.
To support this vision, the number of outsourcing service centers in Egypt increased significantly, reaching 199 during FY23, up from 160 the previous year, reflecting a growth of 24.4%. Additionally, the number of companies operating in the outsourcing services field rose from 148 in FY22 to 185 in FY23, a 25% increase.
Since November 2022, Egypt has signed 74 agreements with international and local companies, aiming to establish 85 new outsourcing centers and appoint 60,000 outsourcing specialists. This demonstrates the country’s determination to capitalize on the growing industry.
The Digital Egypt Outsourcing Industry Strategy (2022–2026) is a key component of this growth. It seeks to attract leading global outsourcing companies to invest in Egypt, boost digital exports, and create job opportunities for young people within the digital economy, with an aim to triple digital export revenues with a compound annual growth rate of 19% during this period.
