
ATLANTA, UNITED STATES – EarthLink, a leading US internet service provider, has opened a new call center in Norton, Virginia, marking a significant expansion of its customer support and operations within the country.
The state-of-the-art facility is expected to create up to 285 new jobs, which underscores the company’s commitment to enhancing local economic development and providing top-tier customer service.
Located at 500 Progress Way NE within the Project Intersection development area, the 28,000-square-foot facility offers a scenic view of the Jefferson National Forest and represents a major upgrade from EarthLink’s previous temporary space at the Lonesome Pine Industrial Park.

EarthLink CEO Glenn Goad expressed excitement about the new facility. He stated, “We are excited to open our doors in Norton and start a new chapter at Project Intersection. The Norton center will serve as EarthLink’s sole US sales hub, leveraging advanced AI and proprietary technologies to enhance the customer experience in researching and connecting to the internet.

The opening of the new call center has been met with praise from local leaders. Delegate Terry Kilgore, R-Scott County, who played a key role in bringing the project to Virginia, emphasized the region’s potential for growth.
