
BENGALURU, INDIA – Capgemini India aims to build an AI-ready workforce this year. The company plans to hire 40,000 to 45,000 talents, with 35% to 40% being lateral recruits and 60% to 65% being fresh graduates from over 50 colleges across the country that it has partnered with.

By ensuring that new employees are capable of handling AI-related projects, the company will be able to meet its global clients’ growing demands for innovative and affordable services.
Capgemini India CEO Ashwin Yardi stated that the company, which has 175,000 current employees, has been experiencing an increase in work assignments from its clients. This shows just how much they’re seeking operational efficiency and scalability from the company.

Although the WNS acquisition deal still needs about six months to finalize, Capgemini India is confident that with the integration of WNS’s agentic AI, the company is one step closer to its vision of an AI-ready workforce.
