BELIZE CITY, BELIZE – Business process outsourcing (BPO) firm Peak Outsourcing International and the Belize City Council have signed a partnership agreement to create at least 500 jobs by December for residents of Belize City.
Job Placements and Career Development
The memorandum of understanding (MOU) outlines a two-year plan for job placements, internships, and career development opportunities for students and city residents.
This agreement includes a structured recruitment and training program aimed at equipping recent graduates, students, and other qualified residents with the skills needed to excel in the BPO industry.
Community-based initiatives are also part of the agreement, focusing on youth empowerment, poverty alleviation, and digital literacy. Additionally, there will be yearly assessments to evaluate the impact and benefits of the partnership.
Peak Outsourcing has committed to providing job placements for qualified individuals recommended by the Council. However, the company will determine the specific positions, eligibility criteria, and other details.

Orson Picart, Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist for Peak Outsourcing Belize, acknowledged that the collaboration had been planned for some time but faced delays, including those caused by the recent approach of Hurricane Beryl.
Picart highlighted that the organization’s focus extends beyond recruitment, encompassing various community-based initiatives aimed at building the competencies of qualified individuals to ensure successful job placements.
