
FREIBURG, GERMANY – Global outsourcing leader Accenture has announced the acquisition of consus.health, a German healthcare management consultancy known for its comprehensive services.
This strategic move aims to enhance Accenture’s healthcare consulting capabilities, particularly in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
With this acquisition, Accenture will integrate consus.health’s expertise in medical strategy, patient management, procurement, logistics, and infrastructure planning into its own digital transformation and managed services.
This combination is expected to significantly improve the quality of care for healthcare providers and hospitals across the region.
Enhancing healthcare services and opportunities
Dr. Djordje Nikolic, founder and CEO of consus.health, expressed optimism about the merger, stating, “By joining Accenture, we will continue our mission of structurally and economically empowering healthcare organizations to care for their patients.”
He added that Accenture’s digital expertise, combined with consus.health’s healthcare knowledge, would create new opportunities for employees and drive positive change in the healthcare sector.
Nikolic will now lead Accenture’s Health Strategy & Consulting practice in Austria, Switzerland, and Germany, focusing on expanding the health provider business. The 140 experts from consus.health will join this practice, bringing their deep industry knowledge to Accenture.

Christina Raab, Accenture’s market unit lead for Austria, Switzerland, and Germany, highlighted the pressures faced by the healthcare industry to improve access, experience, and outcomes while reducing costs. She emphasized that consus.health’s industry expertise would bolster Accenture’s capabilities in helping healthcare organizations through their digital transformation journeys and in driving efficiency.
consus.health, founded in 2012, supports over 600 German healthcare providers and hospitals. Their strategic consulting and industry network help clients achieve financial and operational success.The terms of the acquisition have not been disclosed, and the completion of the transaction is subject to customary closing conditions. This acquisition follows Accenture’s previous purchases of other healthcare firms, including Nautilus Consulting, ConcentricLife, and Intellera Consulting.
