NEW YORK, USA, and BELVAUX, LUXEMBOURG – IT and outsourcing giant Accenture has acquired Arηs (Aris) Group, a technology services provider, to enhance its support for public and private sector transformation across Europe.
The acquisition, first announced on March 18, 2024, aims to strengthen Accenture’s foothold in the European digital transformation market, particularly in the public sector.
Enhancing capabilities with expertise and talent
The deal will integrate over 2,330 Arηs Group employees into Accenture’s workforce. These new team members bring a range of expertise, including software development, business intelligence, data science and AI, security management, cloud, and mobile development.
This influx of talent will enhance Accenture’s ability to serve clients across Europe.
Jean-Marc Ollagnier, Accenture CEO for Europe, Middle East, and Africa, stated in a press release from the firm, “The acquisition of Arηs Group will help scale our capabilities with a highly skilled workforce, a history of successful public service delivery, and valued technical certifications that can quickly be mobilized to serve our clients in Europe.”
History of excellence in public sector IT projects
Founded in 2003 and based in Luxembourg, Arηs Group has grown into one of Europe’s largest independent service providers.
The company specializes in managing complex public sector IT projects, including systems integration, informatics and analytics, solution implementation, and program management.
It also focuses on the European Union, the EU Commission, its various institutions, and member state organizations.
