JOB OVERVIEW:
We’re looking for a talented and creative WordPress Developer to join our global marketing agency. If you love crafting sleek, user-friendly websites and enjoy pushing the boundaries of what WordPress can do, we’d love to meet you.
As part of our web development team, you’ll be responsible for building and maintaining WordPress websites that are not just visually stunning but also technically sound. You’ll work closely with internal teams (and occasionally clients) to bring digital ideas to life—customizing themes, integrating plugins, and ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing and building responsive WordPress websites from scratch.
- Customizing themes and templates to meet specific design and functional requirements.
- Integrating third-party plugins and tools to expand functionality.
- Troubleshooting, testing, and optimising websites for speed and performance.
- Maintaining and updating existing WordPress sites.
- Collaborating with designers, marketers, and project managers to deliver great digital experiences.
- Staying up to date with WordPress updates, security best practices, and web trends.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in WordPress development.
- Strong understanding of WordPress architecture, themes, and plugin development.
- Solid skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
- Experience building mobile-first, responsive sites.
- Detail-oriented with a good eye for design and UX.
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, cross-functional team.
- Knowledge of website optimisation and SEO best practices.
- Bonus if you’re familiar with version control systems (Git), e-commerce platforms, or have UX/UI knowledge.
