AUSTIN, TEXAS — Leading global customer experience technology and services provider TTEC Holdings, Inc., has announced the expansion of its Egypt operations, following its participation in the 2025 Global Offshoring Summit in Cairo.
During the summit, TTEC Engage’s president, John Abou, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA). Under this agreement, TTEC will expand its workforce in Cairo by adding 3,500 employees by 2029 to meet its growing client demand.
Egypt has become an essential part of our global delivery network. The strength of Egypt’s multilingual talent, combined with the support we’ve received from ITIDA and the Egyptian government, positions Cairo as a world-class hub for delivering the future of customer experience.
— John Abou, TTEC Engage President
What This Development Means for TTEC
TTEC first entered the Egyptian market in 2023 and expanded early this year by opening a facility in Maadi Technology Park. This state-of-the-art facility now has over 500 employees and supports 11 languages to serve a diverse customer base.
By adding 3,500 staff in Cairo, TTEC will further boost its global delivery capacity to meet the rising demand for multilingual and AI-enabled CX services. This also reduces its operational risks by strengthening its resilience against disruptions.
TTEC’s continued investment reinforces Egypt’s position as a leading destination for global offshoring and digital services. We look forward to deepening our partnership as TTEC scales its presence in Cairo. At ITIDA, we view each new center and every expansion as a commitment—a commitment to help it grow and ensure it unlocks its full potential.
— Eng, Ahmed Elzaher, ITIDA CEO
