
TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras — ibex, a global provider of business process outsourcing (BPO) and customer engagement technology, has expanded its operations in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. This expansion has added approximately 250 new jobs in the region, boosting employment and furthering the company’s growth in Central America.
ibex has increased its office space by 10,000 square feet, enhancing its capacity by 35%. The new space, which opened in mid-September, includes over 180 new production seats and is expected to be fully operational in the coming month.

Bob Dechant, CEO of ibex, emphasized the company’s commitment to Honduras and its nearshore strategy. “Our increased presence in Honduras is not only creating valuable employment opportunities, but also strengthening our ability to deliver high-quality services to our global clients. This expansion is also a testament to the skilled workforce in Honduras and our confidence in the country as a key hub for our operations,” Dechant said.
The expansion comes after a successful year of growth for ibex in Honduras. In fiscal year 2024, the company’s Tegucigalpa office saw a 249% increase in staff, largely driven by new clients and an increased focus on the fintech sector. In addition to hiring, ibex promoted 156 employees last year, reflecting the company’s dedication to internal growth and career development.
