SUVA, FIJI — Outsource Fiji is preparing to showcase the nation’s growing outsourcing sector at the 6th Annual Future CX Summit in Auckland, New Zealand, on October 23–24, 2024. This event will bring together top executives and customer experience leaders from across the region, offering a valuable opportunity for Fiji to demonstrate its capabilities to New Zealand businesses.
Fiji’s key strengths and opportunities
Fiji’s outsourcing sector is already recognized for its competitive advantages, including a highly skilled workforce, neutral accents, and strong cultural alignment with Australia and New Zealand. With robust ICT infrastructure and cost-effective solutions, Fiji has become a popular destination for outsourcing. Fiji’s subsea cable project with Google has further strengthened its ICT framework, ensuring excellent connectivity and positioning the country as an attractive hub for international businesses.
Outsource Fiji’s President, Morika Hunter, emphasized that the summit will help showcase how Fiji can offer scalable and high-quality customer experience (CX) solutions to New Zealand businesses. Outsource Fiji serves several clients in Australia and New Zealand and sees increasing demand for its services.
Creating jobs and economic growth
Outsource Fiji’s participation in the Future CX Summit also aims to boost employment opportunities for Fijians. The outsourcing sector provides higher-than-average wages, allowing workers to remain in Fiji while working for international companies, which helps curb migration.
Fiji’s government has ambitious goals for the sector, with plans to capture 10% of the global outsourcing market by 2030, potentially creating 25,000 new jobs.
