LEVALLOIS-PERRET, FRANCE — Global management consultancy Argon & Co has announced the acquisition of PrexPartners, a boutique procurement consulting firm based in Mönchengladbach, Germany. This marks the firm’s second European acquisition this year as it strengthens its foothold in Western Europe.
Jean-François Laget, Group Managing Director of Argon & Co, shared his enthusiasm on the acquisition. “It is deeply exciting to welcome PrexPartners to Argon & Co. This move will strengthen our presence in Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands and bolster our procurement capability,” he said.
Strengthening procurement and operational expertise
Founded in 2010 by Christian Dieker and Dr. Phillip Harter, PrexPartners has developed a solid reputation in procurement consulting, focusing on operational excellence, spending efficiency, and sustainability. With a team of around 20 consultants, the firm operates across Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands.
PrexPartners will benefit from Argon & Co’s global network and broader expertise in areas such as supply chain management, logistics, and strategic operations. Argon & Co, with an estimated annual revenue of $232.2 million, operates 17 offices worldwide with 754 employees.
Leadership continuity and future growth
PrexPartners’ co-founders, Dieker and Harter, will remain in their leadership roles as partners at Argon & Co. Their third partner, Klaus Weskamp, will also join Argon & Co to ensure a smooth transition and leadership continuity.
In a joint statement, Dieker and Harter expressed their enthusiasm: “We’re delighted to be joining Argon & Co and able to give our clients access to a broader network of experts in operational excellence all over the world.”
The financial details of the acquisition were not made public. Earlier this year, Argon & Co acquired Pebble Business Transformation, a 20-person consultancy firm, marking its entry into the Irish market. The firm also completed the acquisition of Caliba in Australia, further expanding its global footprint.
