Logix BPO are looking to hire a skilled Junior Web Developer for our growing team!
We are seeking a talented and motivated Junior Web Developer to join our team. As a Junior Web Developer, you will work closely with our senior developers and designers to build and maintain websites that meet our clients’ needs and expectations. Your primary focus will be on WordPress development, but you will also be responsible for various front-end and back-end tasks, hosting management, and SEO-related activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- WordPress Proficiency: A strong foundation in WordPress development, including theme and plugin customization, is essential. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining WordPress-based websites, ensuring they are user-friendly and functional.
- Front-end Skills: Exceptional HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills are required to create visually appealing and responsive web designs. You should be able to transform design mockups into pixel-perfect, cross-browser compatible web pages.
- Back-end Skills: A good understanding of PHP and MySQL is necessary for working on WordPress themes, plugins, and custom functionality. You will be responsible for solving technical challenges on the back end.
- Hosting and Deployment: Experience with cPanel and managing hosting environments is crucial. You will be responsible for deploying websites, managing server configurations, and handling updates from production to live environments.
- Responsive Design: Demonstrate an excellent understanding of modern responsive design principles to ensure websites are accessible and user-friendly on various devices and screen sizes.
- SEO Knowledge: Possess a good understanding of SEO principles, including technical SEO. You should be capable of managing SEO tools such as Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, and Google Analytics to monitor and improve website performance.
About You:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Previous experience with WordPress development and customization.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL.
- Familiarity with cPanel and web hosting management.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently on projects.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical team members and clients.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with version control systems like Git.
- Knowledge of web performance optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with CMS platforms other than WordPress.
- Understanding of website security best practices.
- Experience with website accessibility standards (WCAG).
- Knowledge of content management and SEO plugins for WordPress.
